Your Sunday, solved. Everything you need lives in one file. Open it, read the script, and you're ready in minutes, not hours. Stage directions and supply lists included, so even a first-time volunteer can lead with confidence.
A five-week Thanksgiving series for kids: welcome to the Great Bible Bake-Off. Every week is a new challenge in God's kitchen, and every story shows kids what God does with what we bring Him: the widow's last handful of flour (1 Kings 17), Elisha's poisoned stew made safe (2 Kings 4), Abigail's food and wise words that stopped a fight (1 Samuel 25), Abraham and Sarah baking for three surprise guests (Genesis 18), and the Great Banquet where the overlooked get the best seats (Luke 14). Two editions, written separately: Kids (ages 6 to 12) and Preschool (ages 3 to 5). Both rooms learn the same Bible story each week, each told for its age. Each edition is its own download. Teaching both rooms? The All-Access Pass includes both.
Thanksgiving and this curriculum: The series lands on gratitude and generosity through Bible stories about food, sharing and a feast, so it fits the weeks around Thanksgiving without leaning on the holiday itself. If you've taught our free Thanksgiving lesson from Ministry-to-Children, that lesson is Week 1 of this unit.

The 5 weeks
đź’ˇ Big Idea: God takes whatever you bring to His kitchen, whether it's almost nothing, completely ruined, quietly offered, or nervously unsure, and He turns it into a feast.
đź“– Memory Verse: "As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another." (1 Peter 4:10) BSB
🔍 Theme Hook: Bakers, welcome to the kitchen! For the next five weeks, every week brings a new challenge, and we'll meet the real Master Baker. Aprons on. Let's get to work!
✝️ Gospel Connection: Every story shows us who God really is. He multiplies our "little," He rescues our "ruined," He uses our quiet wisdom, He welcomes us to His table when we welcome others, and He invites the overlooked to the feast. That's exactly what Jesus did. He took our empty pantry and filled it. He stepped between God's justice and our sin with His own life. And He's throwing a feast for anyone who will say "yes" to the invitation.
Both editions teach these five stories. The Preschool edition tells each one more simply.
Week 1: Pantry Challenge. The Widow's Last Meal (1 Kings 17)
- Bible Story: The Widow of Zarephath (1 Kings 17:8–16)
- Key Discovery: When we bring our "almost nothing" to God, He provides more than we could make on our own.
- Takeaway: Your small is never too small for God.
Week 2: Disaster Round. Poison Stew Fix (2 Kings 4)
- Bible Story: Elisha Purifies the Stew (2 Kings 4:38–41)
- Key Discovery: God can fix what's ruined, even when it looks beyond saving.
- Takeaway: Nothing in your life is too ruined for God to redeem.
Week 3: Secret Ingredient. Abigail's Food Diplomacy (1 Samuel 25)
- Bible Story: Abigail Brings Food to David (1 Samuel 25)
- Key Discovery: Wise words and kindness are the "secret ingredient" God uses to turn conflict into peace.
- Takeaway: God can use you, quietly, without a microphone, to stop something terrible from happening.
Week 4: Surprise Guest Round. Sarah Bakes for Three Strangers (Genesis 18)
- Bible Story: Abraham and Sarah Welcome Three Visitors (Genesis 18:1–8)
- Key Discovery: When we welcome and serve others, we're often serving God Himself.
- Takeaway: When you make room for others, you make room for God.
Week 5: Final Feast. The Great Banquet (Luke 14)
- Bible Story: The Parable of the Great Banquet (Luke 14:15–24)
- Key Discovery: God invites the overlooked, and that includes you, to the biggest feast in the universe.
- Takeaway: There's a seat at God's table with your name on it. He wants you there.
