Waiting is never easy, but through His grace God grants us patience to await things yet to come, and we know that wonderful things are worth the wait! Life often requires us to endure patiently as we anticipate future events, but there are things we can do to ease the struggle. The focal passage here explores the story of Anna and Simeon in the temple meeting baby Jesus. This lesson considers what we wait for and reminds children that God is faithful to fulfill His promises to us. His blessings outweigh any delayed gratification we experience.

It isn’t easy to wait on the Lord, but we know it is worth it to patiently accept His timing in our lives. The story of Anna and Simeon reminds us that we can count on God to bless us with wonderful things. He has given us the greatest gift and fulfilled the promise of all: Jesus Christ!
