This preschool Easter series helps little ones (ages 3–5) learn about the brave and loving friends of Jesus during the week leading up to Easter. Through simple, age-appropriate Bible stories, children will see how knowing Jesus helps us be kind, brave, and joyful. Each lesson invites preschoolers into an engaging experience that shows how Jesus' love changes everything!

Main Idea: Because Jesus is alive, we can be brave and share His love!

Bible Memory Verse: Philippians 3:10a, “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection.” 

This preschool edition is a perfect complement to the Kids (age 6-12) edition of Heroes of Holy Week 5-Week Children's Ministry Curriculum. Both series can be taught independently or in different age groups on the same schedule.

5-Week Preschool Curriculum Overview

Week 1 – Jesus Helps Me Help Others!
Bible Story: Simon Helps Jesus Carry the Heavy Cross (Matthew 27:32)
Summary: Jesus had to carry a heavy cross, and Simon came to help Him. Jesus shows us how to help others, even when it's hard. This week, we learn that Jesus helps us be good helpers too!

Week 2 – I Can Show Jesus My Love!
Bible Story: Mary Pours Perfume to Show Her Love (John 12:1–8)
Summary: Mary showed her love for Jesus by giving Him her very best. We can love Jesus too! This week, we learn that we can show our love for Jesus by giving Him our time, our hearts, and our best.

Week 3 – Jesus Forgives Me and Gives Me Hope!
Bible Story: The Man on the Cross Talks to Jesus (Luke 23:39–43)
Summary: Even when he was on the cross, Jesus loved and forgave the man next to Him. Jesus loves us and forgives us too. This week, we learn that we can trust Jesus and know He gives us hope and a forever friendship.

Week 4 – Jesus Helps Me Be Brave!
Bible Story: Joseph Cares for Jesus After He Dies (Matthew 27:57–60)
Summary: Joseph was brave and did what was right by taking care of Jesus. Sometimes doing the right thing is hard, but Jesus helps us be strong and brave. This week, we learn that we can do what’s right because we love Jesus.

Week 5 – Jesus Is Alive, and I Can Tell Everyone!
Bible Story: Mary Sees Jesus Come Back to Life! (John 20:1–18)
Summary: Mary was so happy when she saw that Jesus was alive! She ran to tell others the good news. This week, we celebrate that Jesus is alive and we can share His love with everyone!
