Without Jesus, our lives will sink! This lesson is based on Peter’s water-walking attempt, which floundered when he took his eyes off the Lord. From the story, we see how important it is to rely on Christ and trust in Him for all things in our lives. He lifts us out of the “waves” of life and helps us through our struggles. Faith “lightens our load”! 

Jesus takes care of us and gives us all that we need in life. When we keep our focus on His power and presence, all things are possible. On our own, we will easily fall to the weight of the world and “sink”! Just as Jesus helped Peter through the waves, He is with us always in our lives, even when things are challenging. This story reminds us that even when we doubt or feel powerless, God is near and trustworthy.
