Some voices get louder when God shows up — and that's the whole point of ROAR. Over four weeks, kids meet four people who opened their mouths and shook the room: a man who went from chains to proclaiming Christ, a lone prophet who told the truth while 400 voices shouted him down, a farmer God turned into an unstoppable messenger, and a young man who learned that courage isn't something you go find — it's something God already put inside you. Landing in July around Independence Day, ROAR turns freedom into a question every kid can answer: when God sets you free, are you going to whisper… or are you going to ROAR?Â
✝️ Gospel Connection: Every voice in this series points to the same truth Jesus proved at the cross — nothing can silence what God has spoken. Jesus broke the ultimate chains, told the ultimate truth, refused to sit down when the world told Him to stop, and gave us His Spirit so we could do the same. The courage to ROAR doesn't start with us — it starts with Him.
4-Week Lesson Overview
Week 1 — Chain Breaker
- Bible Story: The Man Delivered from Legion (Mark 5:1–20)
- Key Discovery: Jesus has the power to break every chain — nothing can hold you when He sets you free.
- Takeaway: Whatever's been controlling you or scaring you, Jesus is stronger than all of it.
Week 2 — Mic Drop
- Bible Story: Micaiah vs. the 400 Prophets (1 Kings 22:1–28)
- Key Discovery: God's truth doesn't change because everyone disagrees — one honest voice is louder than 400 fake ones.
- Takeaway: You can speak the truth even when you're the only one, because God's word doesn't need backup.
Week 3 — Protest Prophet
- Bible Story: Amos Refuses to Stop Preaching (Amos 7:10–17)
- Key Discovery: When God sends you to speak, no one has the authority to make you stop — your calling comes from God, not from people.
- Takeaway: If God put something in your heart to say or do, don't let anyone tell you to sit down.
Week 4 — Lionhearted
- Bible Story: God Gave Us a Spirit of Power (2 Timothy 1:7)
- Key Discovery: God didn't give you a spirit of fear — the courage you need is already inside you because the Holy Spirit lives there.
- Takeaway: You don't have to find courage somewhere out there — God already put it in you.
