Hook for Children: Everything is possible with God, but what about the surprises, setbacks, and challenges that always come? Friends can get mad, other kids can judge you, school can be tough, and sometimes it feels like parents don't understand what you're going through. The new year is exciting, but you must be prepared for anything. We're not talking about New Year's resolutions but finding real help every minute of the day. We're learning how Jesus sticks with us, and trusting in His love is the secret to making this the BEST YEAR EVER. With Jesus, you can handle anything that comes your way, from worries to tough choices. Each week, we’ll discover how Jesus can flip the script in any situation.
Gospel Connection: Following Jesus isn’t about being perfect; it’s about trusting His love and guidance. Because of His sacrifice on the cross, you can find eternal life with Jesus and enjoy a life filled with abundance right here, right now. Week 1: No Worries
Bible Story: "Do Not Worry" - Matthew 6:25-34
Main Idea: God takes care of me, so I don't need to worry. He’s always in control.
Gospel Connection: Jesus reminds us not to trust our own strength but to trust in His loving care, securing our needs and eternal life through His sacrifice.
Week 2: Two Paths
Bible Story: "The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked & Trust in the Lord" - Psalm 1:1-3 and Proverbs 3:5-6
Main Idea: I can find a better life by following God’s path.
Gospel Connection: We can’t perfectly follow God’s path, but salvation comes not from our efforts but from Jesus’s perfect sacrifice for our sins.
Week 3: Fresh Starts
Bible Story: "The Woman at the Well" - John 4:1-42
Main Idea: By trusting in Jesus, I can get a start fresh.
Gospel Connection: Jesus gave a woman at a well a new start. He offers a fresh start to anyone who will turn away from sin and trust in His promise of salvation.
Week 4: It's a God Thing
Bible Story: "The Vine and the Branches & The Peace of God" - John 15:4-5 and Philippians 4:6-7
Main Idea: I can connect with Jesus daily to find real peace and become more like Him.
Gospel Connection: Like branches to a vine, we find our strength in Jesus. Our friendship with God comes from his goodness, not what we deserve on our own.

My church has less than 30 people. I teach the Special Needs class as well as Children's Worship. Our funds are very limited. I came up with my own lessons for years, until I discovered The Sunday School Store. My children range from 2 to 24(24 yr old is autistic but mentally much younger,). The lessons are easy to adapt to every student that I have. What a blessing to have found your materials. Thank you so much!!
The ease of starting the lesson at any spot is helpful. My goal is to be able to teach on a multilevel framework according to the students. Kinda like home schooling!
