A four-week series for kids on the freedom Jesus gives. Sunday school lessons on prisons, chains and false gods, and the Savior who breaks every chain. Kids know what stuck feels like: a habit they can't quit, a fear that won't leave, a wrong they can't undo. Sin is the deepest stuck of all, and only Jesus can break it. Over four weeks kids meet two singers in a jail at midnight (Acts 16); a scared farmer who tore down his father's altar to a false god (Judges 6); a crowd who insisted they had never been slaves to anyone, and heard Jesus promise real freedom (John 8); and Judah's worst king, who humbled himself and prayed, and God brought him home (2 Chronicles 33). One piece of good news runs through all four: Jesus sets people free. Available in Kids (ages 6 to 12) and Preschool (ages 3 to 5) editions.

✝️ Gospel Connection: Sin is a chain nobody can break alone. Jesus said, "Everyone who sins is a slave to sin," and then He made a promise: "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sin and rose again, and everyone who trusts Him is forgiven, free, and part of God's family forever.
Week 1 — God is stronger than every prison
- Bible Story: Paul and Silas in the Philippian Jail (Acts 16:16–34)
- Key Discovery: God is with His people in every prison, and no chain can stop His good news or the joy of those who trust Him.
- Takeaway: I can praise God even when things are hard.
Week 2 — Only God gets first place
- Bible Story: Gideon Tears Down the Altar (Judges 6:1–32)
- Key Discovery: God alone deserves first place: false gods can't even defend themselves, and God stays with fearful people who obey Him.
- Takeaway: I can put God first, even when I'm scared.
Week 3 — Only Jesus can set us free
- Bible Story: Jesus Promises Real Freedom (John 8:31–36)
- Key Discovery: Everyone who sins is a slave to sin and cannot break free alone, but Jesus the Son sets free everyone who trusts Him.
- Takeaway: I can trust Jesus to set me free from sin.
Week 4 — No one is beyond God's forgiveness
- Bible Story: King Manasseh Comes Home (2 Chronicles 33:1–16)
- Key Discovery: No one is beyond God's forgiveness: when the worst king humbled himself and prayed, God heard him and brought him home.
- Takeaway: I can always turn back to God, and He will forgive me.
