🔍 Theme Hook: Kids step into four resurrection comeback stories from John 20–21. Each week they meet someone who thought the story was over — Mary, Peter, Thomas, and the frightened disciples — and discover that Jesus shows up with grace, restoration, answers, peace, and a new purpose.
✝️ Gospel Connection: Jesus died and rose again so broken, doubtful, fearful people can be forgiven, restored, and sent with His peace. The empty tomb opened the door for every person who has failed, doubted, or hidden in fear to receive a new beginning with the Come Back King.
4-Week Lesson Overview
Week 1 — Chosen Again
- Bible Story: Mary Magdalene at the Tomb (John 20:1–18)
- Key Discovery: God chooses unexpected people to carry His most important messages.
- Takeaway: Your past doesn't disqualify you — Jesus sees who you're becoming, not just what you've done.
Week 2 — Failure Isn't Final
- Bible Story: Peter Restored at the Beach (John 21:1–19)
- Key Discovery: Jesus restores people personally — He doesn't forgive from a distance; He shows up.
- Takeaway: When I fail, I can come back to Jesus, because He already has a place for me at the fire.
Week 3 — Proof Over Panic
- Bible Story: Thomas and the Risen Jesus (John 20:24–29)
- Key Discovery: Jesus meets us in our doubts — He doesn't shame us for asking hard questions.
- Takeaway: When I have doubts, I can bring them to Jesus instead of keeping them to myself.
Week 4 — Comeback Crew (Easter Sunday)
- Bible Story: Jesus Appears to the Disciples in the Locked Room (John 20:19–23)
- Key Discovery: Jesus comes to us in our fear and sends us out with His peace — the comeback is never just for us.
