A four-week after-Easter Sunday school curriculum for kids. Sunday school lessons on the risen Jesus and the mission He left His friends. Encore! picks up the same afternoon Easter ended and keeps going: the risen Jesus walking beside two heartbroken friends on the Emmaus road (Luke 24), the evening He showed He was really alive and opened the Scriptures (Luke 24), the Ascension and the mission He gave His followers (Acts 1), and the praying, waiting days that followed (Acts 1). It’s built for the Sundays after Easter, and because the teaching is about following the living Jesus, it works any month of the year. Two editions, written separately: Kids (ages 6 to 12) and Preschool (ages 3 to 5). Both rooms learn the same Bible story each week, each told for its age. Each edition is its own download. One room with a wide age range? Start with the Kids edition. The puzzle page comes in two levels, and the Week 3 craft comes with a tracing page for younger writers. The Preschool edition is written for 3 to 5 year olds, so it will likely feel too young for kids 8 and up.

How long is a lesson? About 40 to 50 minutes in the Kids edition and about 30 to 40 in the Preschool edition, if you use every part. Short on time? The overview says: use the Bible story plus one activity.

The 4 weeks

💡 Big Idea: Jesus is alive, and His story keeps going.

📖 Memory Verse: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8) BSB

✝️ Gospel Connection: Jesus died for our sins, and God raised Him to life. Easter morning began something new, not a finale. That afternoon, the risen Jesus walked with two sad friends and showed how Scripture led to Him. That evening He showed His friends He was physically alive. He gave His followers a mission, the promise of the Spirit, and purpose in waiting. Because Jesus lives, His story continues, and everyone who trusts Him has a part in it.

📜 Bible translation: Scripture in the lessons is from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB).

Both editions teach these four stories. The Preschool edition tells each one more simply.
