A five-week series for kids on true greatness, in the King James Version — Sunday school lessons on four unsung heroes of the Bible and the greatest of all. Every team argues about the GOAT — the greatest of all time. God’s hall of fame will surprise you: Bezaleel, the builder God filled with His Spirit for work in a workshop nobody watched (Exodus 31); Tabitha, known for quiet works of kindness, raised to life (Acts 9); Ebed-melech, the outsider who spoke up and pulled a prophet from the muddy dungeon (Jeremiah 38); Anna, who worshiped in God’s house for a lifetime (Luke 2); and Jesus — the greatest of all — kneeling with a towel to wash His friends’ feet (John 13). Because the Bible teaching is about serving like Jesus, churches use it for children’s church and Sunday school any month of the year. Available in Kids (ages 6–12) and Preschool (ages 3–5) editions.

💡 Big Idea: God gives greatness to people who trust Him.
📖 Memory Verse: "But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant." (Matthew 23:11) KJV
✝️ Gospel Connection: The Bible’s hall of fame is full of surprising picks: a builder whose arena was a workshop, a helper whose trophies were coats, a brave outsider with a rope, a faithful widow who never stopped praying. They’re not the names we hype today, but they made the difference God counts, because they trusted Him. And the story climbs to the most surprising greatness of all: Jesus, who didn’t become great (He IS the greatest), knelt with a towel, served His friends, and gave His life to rescue us. The greatest is the least, and the greatest Servant invites every child onto His team.
Week 1 — God gives His people gifts to serve Him
- Bible Story: God Gifts Bezaleel (Exodus 31:1–11)
- Key Discovery: God called Bezaleel by name and filled him with His Spirit, with skill and know-how, to build beautiful things for God’s house — and Bezaleel trusted God with the gifts God gave him. Greatness God’s way can happen in a workshop nobody watches.
- Takeaway: I can use the gifts God gave me to serve Him.
Week 2 — God sees the quiet kindness nobody notices
- Bible Story: Tabitha, Raised to Life (Acts 9:36–43)
- Key Discovery: Tabitha was "full of good works and almsdeeds" — coats sewn quietly, one friend at a time; when she died, Peter prayed, God raised her to life, and the whole town heard — and many believed in the Lord.
- Takeaway: I can be kind even when nobody notices, because God sees.
Week 3 — God gives courage to stand up for what's right
- Bible Story: Ebed-melech Rescues Jeremiah (Jeremiah 38:4–13)
- Key Discovery: While everyone else stayed silent, one court official — an outsider named Ebed-melech — trusted God, spoke up to the king for the prophet sinking in the muddy dungeon, then pulled him out gently, with rags to pad the ropes.
- Takeaway: I can ask God for courage to stand up for what's right.
Week 4 — God sees faithful people, even when no one else does
- Bible Story: Anna, Faithful for a Lifetime (Luke 2:36–38)
- Key Discovery: Anna, an older woman who had worshiped in God’s house night and day into her eighties, praying and waiting — and God let her be among the very first to meet the promised Rescuer and tell others about Him.
- Takeaway: I can talk to God every day, and He always sees me.
Week 5 — Jesus, the greatest of all, became the servant of all
- Bible Story: The King Who Washed Feet (John 13:1–17)
- Key Discovery: On His last night, knowing the Father had given all things into His hands, Jesus tied on a towel and washed His disciples’ feet — then said, "I have given you an example."
- Takeaway: I can serve like Jesus, the greatest of all.
